B. Health and Wellness Data

To provide personalized eye care experiences, the App may log:

• Usage history of Eye Exercises, Vision Tests, and Eye Yoga sessions.
• Timers, intervals, and schedules set for eye rest and reminders.
• Vision screening records and related activity logs.

C. Automatically Collected Data

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the App:

• Device Information: Device ID, operating system version, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens.
• Advertising Data: Google Advertising ID (AD_ID) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
• Usage Data: Diagnostic data and crash reports.

3. Device Permissions

To function properly, OptiGlow requests the following device permissions:

• Internet & Network State: To communicate with our backend servers and fetch content.
• Notifications & Alarms: To send you timely reminders for eye exercises and breaks (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM).
• Modify System Settings: To adjust screen brightness and apply the Blue Light Filter (WRITE_SETTINGS, SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW).
• Boot Receiver & Wake Lock: To ensure background reminders and services start automatically when you restart your device.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various purposes:

• To create and manage your account.
• To provide, operate, and maintain the App's features.
• To send you push notifications and alerts.
• To serve advertisements via Google AdMob.
• To analyze app usage and improve user experience.

5. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

• Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use your Advertising ID and device data to serve relevant ads.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used to deliver push notifications.

We implement robust, industry-standard security measures, including JSON Web Tokens (JWT) for secure authentication and bcrypt for password hashing. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

We retain your personal information only for as long as your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide you with our services. We do not store or retain user data indefinitely.

Data Deletion Process:

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. You can easily delete your account and all associated data directly within the App by following these steps:

1. Open the OptiGlow App.
2. Navigate to the Settings menu.
3. Tap on the Delete Account button and confirm your request.

Upon confirmation, your account and all associated personal data will be immediately and permanently deleted from our active servers.

8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it from our servers immediately.
